From Site to Skyline: Safety Practices at Appaswamy

Every day on an Appaswamy construction site begins with the same understanding. The work may be complex, the timelines demanding, and the scale significant, but one thing remains non-negotiable. Everyone who comes to work must return home safely.

This principle is built into how our projects are planned, executed, and supervised, long before the first structure begins to rise. Safety at our project sites is a part of the foundations on which every Appaswamy development stands.

That approach shaped Altezza from its earliest stages. Today, it has also earned national recognition.

We are proud to share that Altezza has been awarded the NSCI Certificate of Merit Award 2025 by the National Safety Council of India, following a detailed review of our construction safety practices. The recognition reflects a sustained culture of discipline, consistency, and responsibility that guides how our sites operate every day.

At Appaswamy, safety is upheld through clear, measurable practices applied across all project sites. These are the standards enforced on the ground, every day.

  • Zero child labour, with strict adherence to ethical employment practices across all sites

  • Clean, powered housing for workers, designed to support rest, safety, and well-being beyond working hours

  • Routine medical checkups and vaccination programmes, integrated into daily site operations

  • Structured training programmes focused on building skills, awareness, and safe work habits

  • Role-specific personal protective equipment is provided, monitored, and reinforced through supervision

  • Certified machinery only, supported by regular audits and proactive risk assessments

These systems exist to protect people, but they also allow work to progress with confidence and control. Over time, that consistency adds up in ways that can be measured.

  • More than six million safe man-hours recorded across the project

  • A 39-floor structure, rising to a height of 120 metres, executed without compromising safety standards

Altezza stands today as proof of what disciplined execution looks like when safety is treated as integral to construction, not separate from it.

This milestone belongs to the engineers who planned with precision, the supervisors who upheld standards without exception, and the workforce whose care and commitment shaped every stage of the build. It is a shared achievement, reflecting the values that guide how we work on site, day after day.

At Appaswamy, the way a home is built matters as much as how it looks when it is complete. Safety is not only about the families who will eventually live within these walls. It is equally about the people who construct them. Because when responsibility is built into every level of the process, the home itself carries a deeper sense of trust long after construction is complete.
